The Queen of Sheba is biblical figure, a queen of a realm of Sheba, which some modern arhceologist place in modern Yemen.

According to the Bible, Sheba heard of the great wisdom of Solomon and journeyed to Israel with herbs and spices as gift to the king (I Kings 10). She was awed by Solomon's wisdom and wealth, and pronounced a blessing on Solomon's God. He also gave her gifts, and she returned to her own country.

The royal family of Ethiopia has claimed origin from Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, although there is no Biblical evidence to support this tradition.
