Redd Kross was an alternative rock/garage rock/power pop band from Los Angeles during the 1980s and 1990s, led by brothers Jeff McDonald and Steve McDonald. Beginning as a teenage punk rock band, Redd Kross would soon develop their own style based on 1960s garage rock and 1960s and '70s American "trash culture" in general, from TV to cult films by directors like Russ Meyer and John Waters.By 1987's "Neurotica" they had developed into a power pop band and were at the forefront of the American indie scene.
