Russell Conwell Hoban (born February 4th, 1925) is an Americann writer of fantasy, science fiction, mainstream fiction, children's books, and unclassifiable works. He moved to London in 1969 and has resided in England ever since.

  • The Lion of Boaz-Jachin and Jachin-Boaz (1973)
  • Kleinzeit (1974)
  • Riddley Walker (1980), a novel set after a nuclear holocaust, written completely in a postulated future dialect of English, which won the John W. Campbell Memorial Award

  • Turtle Diary (1986) (mainstream fiction)
  • The Medusa Frequency (1987) (unclassifiable)
  • Fremder (1996) (science fiction)
