Commercial service began in 1932 with Pacific Seaboard Airlines, and United Airlines inaugurated service from Santa Barbara/Goleta in 1936. Five airlines serve the Airport with 43 daily departures to nine major international airports; Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, San Jose, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.
