Snakeboards are a relatively new modification of the skateboard. These new "boards" have a central bar with two pivotant boards attached at each end. Wheels are attached to the ends as they do in normal boards. The user puts one foot on each pivotant board and by moving them in and out, they can move in a manner similar to that of a snake.

Snakeboards allow the users to move without puting their feet back on the ground. They add more degrees of freedom than a traditional skateboard for expresivness on the board. Some snakeboards include fixation (rough surface) for the feet while others do not. This feature is not regarded as crucial as users rarely loose foot contact with the board.
