Sonic Bloom is a hard rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

The band formed as a trio in the mid-90s with Michael Allen Zirk, Steven Kray and Fish. In 1999, Paul Robinson joined the band as a bassist, and after Hurry was recorded, they added another guitarist, Phil Cholosky.

In 2001, they released Hurry, a seven-song EP. Its first single, Neopolitan, got a great amount of airplay on Canadian radio. The song soon caught 604 Records co-founder Jonathan Simkin's attention and the band was signed to 604 Records/Universal in the summer of 2002. The deal guaranteed the release of their debut album in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.

They list Van Halen, Public Enemy, Stone Temple Pilots, Rush and Duran Duran as some of their influences.

Their highly-anticipated first full-length album, Living In The Shadow Of The Bat, will be released in 2003 by 604/Universal.
