The Southland Conference is a college athletic conference which operates in the south central United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I-AA for football and Division I for all other sports.

There are twelve partial or full-time member schools:

  • Lamar University
  • University of Louisiana Monroe [non-football member]
  • McNeese State University
  • Nicholls State University
  • Northwestern State University
  • Sam Houston State University
  • Southeastern Louisiana University [no football program]
  • Stephen F. Austin University
  • Texas State University-San Marcos
  • University of Texas at Arlington [no football program]
  • University of Texas at San Antonio [no football program]
