As of the census of 2000, there are 911 people, 345 households, and 245 families residing in the town. The population density is 177.6/km² (460.6/mi²). There are 360 housing units at an average density of 70.2/km² (182.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 90.78% White, 5.27% African American, 0.00% Native American, 1.10% Asian, 0.22% Pacific Islander, 1.10% from other races, and 1.54% from two or more races. 2.09% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
