The elephant soon causes trouble and a poacher, Mr. Blackheart, offers to buy him, but the Simpsons decide to give him to a wild life reserve. At Apu's wedding, Bart sees Apu riding an elephant. Bart comments "I wish I had an elephant." "You did," Lisa replies. "His name was Stampy. You loved him very much." Stampy later turns up in another episode.
