Talk Talk were an English synth pop group of the 1980s who had a number of hits throughout that decade. The group's original line-up was Mark Hollis (vocals/songwriter), Paul Webb (bass), Simon Brenner (keyboards) and Lee Harris (drums).

Talk Talk were formed in 1981, and their heyday was during the early and mid 1980s. Talk Talk produced pop music with a more serious tone than many of their contemporary synth pop bands, but never achieved a high profile. Their biggest hits include the singles:

  • "Today"
  • "Talk Talk"
  • "Such A Shame"
  • "Its My Life"
  • "Life's What You Make It"

Talk Talk's commercial success faded towards the end of the 1980s as the band experimented with a less commercial sound (which was later categorized as post-rock) and after releasing their last album in 1991, Laughing Stock, the band split up.
