Disaster is not yet averted, even with new powers revealed and aiding Corwin. But all the danger becomes more personal, deeper, as Corwin confronts the traitor to the family who promises to destroy the Eternal Realm. Sacrifices must be made -- and strange alliances -- and only in a face-off with the Courts of Chaos will all be decided. But first, Corwin must attempt to do something that may be impossible-- may leave him dead and the Jewel of Judgment lost forever.
