The Spirit of Christmas - The birth of South Park. Trey Parker and Matt Stone were students at a film college in Colorado. In 1991, they made and somewhat published The Spirit Of Christmas: Jesus vs Frosty, in which four young boys make a snowman, which comes to life and begins to kill them off. They made this using only glue, construction paper, and a very old camera.

One year later, a FOX film exec. had seen it, and asked them to make another one as a Christmas card he could give out.

They did so, one called Spirit Of Christmas '92: Jesus vs Santa, where the two most controversial figures of the holiday square off. And rumor has it, George Clooney loved it so much, he made over 300 copies! After months of being passed around, it finally hit Comedy Central.

The rest is history.
