Trenton Ray is a chain of restaurants that serves tacos througout Texas in the United States of America.

They are best known for their 50 cent taco deal every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and their $6.99 burrito buffet held every Saturday.

Each of the stores proudly displays a large metal statue of "Muchacho Messkin", the official mascot of the Trenton Ray franchise who appears as a large Hispanic man wearing traditional Mexican clothing including a poncho and sombrero, who also sports a large full moustache and a cigar.

The hometown establishment is the only one to feature the more popular twelve-foot version of the statue; all others use the better established four-foot tall statuettes that have frequently been the target of theft. The chain has contemplated removing the four foot models entirely.

In certain poorer areas where Trenton Ray restaurants are located, the ownership of a "Muchacho Messkin" statuette is known as a status symbol of sorts amongst reckless youth.

The President of the company is Trenton Ray. He manages the "Trenton Ray" in his home town.

Mr. Ray is often the target of criticism by the local newspapers for his apparent lack of respect to the Chicano community. He has defended himself often by promoting discounts for those who are of Mexican ancestry although this only lasted for a few days before almost being sued by equality groups for racist/ethnocentric promotions, The discount was later changed to anyone who could "Order their food in Espanol!".

He is also criticized by those who are upset over his "No cellphones in the dining room" policies. Mr. Ray often refuses to advertise his retaurants, because he feels that "The food speaks more than any photo could."
