While the United Nations is an International organization, the United Nations System is the whole network of international organizations, treaties and conventions that were created by the United Nations.
The United Nations System is based on six principal organs:
- UN General Assembly
- UN Security Council
- UN Economic and Social Council
- UN Trusteeship Council
- UN Secretariat
- International Court of Justice
The United Nations Secretariat is lead by the Secretary-General of the United Nations, currently is Kofi Annan of Ghana.
