The first Tallahassee (BM-10) was a monitor used as a submarine tender during World War I. The second Tallahassee (CL-61) was converted from a light cruiser to light aircraft carrier Princeton (CVL-23) before launching. The third Tallahassee (CL-116) was cancelled before launching.
