The World Organization of the Scout Movement is the supranational organization which governs most national Scouting movements.

The World Conference is the governing body and meets every three years.

The World Committee is the chief executive and is composed of elected volunteers.

The World Scout Bureau is the secretariat. It is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland and has offices in six regional divisions .

The World Organization of the Scout Movement has an International Scout Centre at Kandersteg, Switzerland that is operated under a seperate not-for-profit corporation. The International Scout Jamboree is held every four years under the auspices of the WOSM. The World Scout Foundation is a perpetual fund governed by a seperate Board of Governers and supported by donations for the development of Scouting programs throughout the world.
