Zool is a computer game originally produced for the Amiga by Gremlin as a Sonic the Hedgehog beater. It was heavily hyped on its initial release in 1992.

The storyline goes that Zool is a ninja ant from the nth dimension who is forced to land on Earth. In order to gain ninja ranking he has to pass seven lands.

Zool was one of the earliest games to offer eight directional scrolling and to contain embedded games, including several arcade games, a scrolling space shooter and a game accessible only by making Zool play a certain tune on an in-game piano.

When it was first released it was heavily criticized for the large amount of sponsored advertisements in the game from a sweets company.

Zool and its later successors have been ported to the PC, Jaguar, Sega Megadrive and Acorn.
