Adam Ant was the stage name of Stuart Goddard (born November 3rd, 1954) in London England, who was the lead singer of the highly sucessful 1980s New Romantic pop group Adam and the Ants. Though he started out playing jagged, over sexed punk music, he quickly altered his image as punk began to fall apart, making himself over in a slightly less edgy form that appealed more to suburban (female) teenagers.

After the ants split up, Goddard has had a moderately succesful solo career. He has also admitted from suffering from Bipolar Disorder.
