Constantijn Huygens (1596-1687) was a Dutch poet and the father of Christiaan Huygens.

He is often considered part of what is known as the Muiderkring, a group of leading intellectuals around Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft that regularly met at the castle of Muiden near Amsterdam. However, Huygens probably only visited on occasion.
