Eiffel 65 is a trio of Italian musicians (from Turin, Italy) who play mostly eurodance and electronic music.

Although the band didn't form officially until the late '90s, they have played music together since 1992. The name "Eiffel" was chosen randomly by a computer software program and the "65" was scribbled onto their name on a demo by mistake; it was actually part of a phone number.

Their biggest hit was 1999's Blue (Da Ba Dee) which, with its catchy melodies, vocoded vocals and an unforgettable chorus, became an overnight success and hit #1 in many countries. The next single, Move Your Body, was also a great success, securing the band's freedom from one-hit wonder status.

Their next album, Contact, was released in 2001 and was only a moderate success, despite various accolades, with the single Lucky (In My Life). In 2003, Eiffel 65 released a self-titled album in Italian.
