Main Page | See live article | Alphabetical index Erik Nielsen was a Canadian Member of Parliament, and interim leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada in 1983, between the resignation of Joe Clark and the election of Brian Mulroney. Nielsen was a longtime MP for the Yukon Territory who also served as Deputy Prime Minister for two years from 1984 to 1986. He is also the brother of actor Leslie Nielsen.
