The Brazilian Green Party (in Portuguese, Partido Verde - PV) was constituted after the military dictatorship period and, like other Green Parties arround the world, is commited to establishing an whole set of policies on ensuring social-democracy and sustainable development.
Among the main items on PV's agenda, there are Federalism, environmentalism, human rights, a form of Direct Democracy, Parliamentarism, welfare, civil liberties and pacifism.
