The municipality Nordkapp in the county of Finnmark, Norway, has 3,513 inhabitants as of January 1, 2002. Most inhabitants live in the fishing village of Honningsvåg, but also Kamøyvær, Skarsvåg and Gjesvær are inhabited.

The municipality's most famous point, after which it is named, is Nordkapp (North Cape), a 307 m. high cliff that marks the northernmost point of Europe. During 2-3 Summer months some 200 000 tourists visit annually. However, the neighbouring point Knivskjellodden is actually some 1500 meters further north.

The North Cape became a famous point as the English explorer Richard Chancellor rounded it in 1553 when attempting to find a sea route through the North East passage.
