The term Russian Far East ("Dal'nii Vostok" in Russian) refers to the extreme south-east parts of Russia, between Siberia and the Pacific.

The Russian Far East includes the territories of Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai and Sakhalin. Major cities in the Russian Far East include Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

The Russian Far East should not be confused with Siberia, which - at least to the Russian mind - does not stretch all the way to the Pacific, but ends about 1000 miles west of it.
