The Other Ones (1998-2002) was a band formed by the surviving members (Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir) of the Grateful Dead after the 1995 death of Jerry Garcia.

As of 2003, the above former Grateful Dead musicians now tour under the name The Dead.

The name "The Other Ones" is derived from the Grateful Dead song, "That's It for the Other One" which first appeared on their second album, Aoxomoxoa.

Some other Other Ones (musicians who played with the group) included/include: Dave Ellis, Bruce Hornsby, Mark Karan, Steve Kimock, John Molo (1998); Bruce Hornsby, Alphonso Johnson, Mark Karan, Steve Kimock (2000); Rob Barraco, Jeff Chimenti, Jimmy Herring (2002).

Barraco, Chimenti, Herring, and Joan Osborn joined the surviving members in 2003 to form The Dead.
