The Spirit of Butts Farm (also known as Tam 5) was the first model aeroplance to cross the Atlantic. It flew from Newfoundland, Canada to Mannin Beach, County Galway, Ireland in a journey that covered 3039 kilometres in 38 hours 23 minutes, landing on August 11, 2003.

The plane was designed by retired engineer Maynard Hill and was landed under the control of Dave Brown (president of the American Academy of Model Aeronautics).
